Quarter Season Review

Real life has gotten in the way but as that slows down the updates speed up!

We've discussed the first 2 rounds of the season which saw Joel Larson streaking taking the first 2 nights of racing this season.

As we entered round 3 it was a familiar face atop the standings at the end of the night. the race saw 6 lead changes and tons of battles throughout the field. Late in the race Dusty Lawson of Minot ND, All Time winningest WRSS driver, took the lead and never looked back securing the win for round #3. his first win of 2021 and 6th of his non wing career.

We headed west for the first time for round 4 at the McLean County Speedway. with a few days of rain, new surface on the track, and slight rain showers during the heat races the track was fast and had character. The drivers braved the conditions well as Adam Sobolik would pace the field on the high line to take the lead with about 7 laps to go. the chase was on for the spot but ultimately Sobolik would prevail securing his 1st win of 2021 and 2nd of his career.

Round 5 was held back at the Devils Lake Speedway. The feature produced an instant classic between two of the early season strong runners. Joel Larson and Adam Sobolik would par take in a classic high low battle with Larson taking the victory in the waining stages of the feature. It was Joel's 3rd win of 2021 and 4th win of his WRSS career.

Round 6  we headed to the Legendary Bullring the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND. Yet another instant classic. which saw Sobolik make a last lap pass on the high side coming out four edging out Ross Cummings for the win at his home track. It was Adams 2nd win of the season and 3rd of his career.

Round 7 was again at our home base Devils Lake Speedway. Adam Sobolik jumped out to the early lead and never looked back. despite this the battle for 2nd place provided great action as the hornet nest effect was on. Thus no one had anything for the 52 car which made its 3rd trip to victory lane of 2021 his 4th of his career.

Round 8 WRSS headed to another Legendary race track the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND. The high speed 3/8th mile track test the will and skill of the drivers. Myles Tomlinson would take the lead early and fend off late challenges from Stan Tomlinson to hold on for his 1st win of 2021 and 4th of his WRSS career.

Round 9 was again back at the Devils Lake Speedway. The scorching heat lead to a super dry slick technical track. our guys proved that track conditions didn't effect the show we put on. After 3 lead changes and amazing battles at the front Stan Tomlinson would shoot past the competition and come out on top from his 9th starting position. It was Stans 1st win in 2021 and 3rd of his WRSS career.
